Christ is risen! Indeed, He is risen!
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Parishioners and Friends of St Peter and St Paul Orthodox Church,
On this glorious day of the Resurrection, let us be filled with the radiant light of the feast and embrace one another in the spirit of love and forgiveness. As we proclaim, “Christ is risen from the dead, trampling down death by death, and upon those in the tombs bestowing life!” let us also remember the essence of our salvation: forgiveness.
Just as our Lord Jesus Christ forgave us through His sacrificial love on the cross, we too are called to extend forgiveness to all, even those who have wronged us or harbor hatred towards us. In this sacred season, let us open our hearts to the transformative power of forgiveness, allowing it to heal our relationships and bring us closer to God and one another.
The Resurrection of Christ is not only a celebration of His triumph over death but also a promise of our own future resurrection. As we participate in this feast, let us be reminded that we are all fragile vessels, prone to offending and being offended. Yet, through the grace of God, we have the opportunity to mend our transgressions and seek forgiveness from both God and our fellow human beings.
In these holy and joyful days, let us embrace the true meaning of forgiveness and extend it to all those around us. With pure hearts and generous spirits, let us greet one another with the joyous proclamation:
Christ is Risen! Χριστός Ανέστη! Христос Воскресе!
Indeed He is Risen! Αληθώς Ανέστη! Воистину Воскресе!
May the light of the Risen Lord fill your hearts with love, peace, and the spirit of forgiveness. Let us rejoice in His Resurrection and the promise of eternal life that it brings.
With love in the Risen Lord,
Fr. Michael
